Tuesday, February 02, 2010

On Friday, January 29, Kuppajoe Christian Club in Fresno, California hosted a Haiti Benefit All-Ages Rock Concert to help raise awareness and funds for relief following the earthquake. The concert brought in approximately two hundred people and more than $1,600.

The concert featured the band Confide with special guests PK, Fighting the Villain and My Beautiful Surrender.

The money raised through this event will go toward the CFM Food Distribution program to be started in Pignon, Haiti.

Currently, our field director Peter Constantin has used his contacts to buy rice and beans from the Dominican Republic and have it shipped to the mountain town of Pignon. This small mountain city has more than doubled in size since the earthquake as survivors have relocated in search of refuge.
